Spheroidal and Lamellar Cast Iron Foundry
The foundry machinery is capable of processing different types of cast iron, both lamellar and spheroidal.
Spheroidal cast iron, or ductile iron, is distinguished by its excellent machinability due to the free carbon present in the form of spherical graphite.
Flake cast iron, or grey cast iron, has a simpler and more cost-effective processing.
Its characteristics include high rigidity and the ability to
dampen vibrations.
Melting Department
The cast iron foundry relies on highly efficient machinery: the heat treatment uses two induction furnaces, one with a capacity of 5 tonnes and the other with 15 tonnes.
The cast iron melting department operates with a production capacity of 4000 tonnes per year.
