CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL ANALYSES
Fonderia Quaglia & Colombo has
two laboratories specifically equipped to constantly monitor the characteristics of the cast irons produced and the sand used in the green sand moulding plant.
Our laboratories
The first laboratory is equipped to provide the customer with all the chemical and physical characteristics of the materials produced: chemical analysis, hardness, tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, resilience, hardness; any non-destructive testing such as US, MT, RX, etc., is entrusted to qualified external laboratories.
The second laboratory is dedicated to monitoring the most important characteristics of the moulding sand: permeability, compactability, and moisture.
